Chairperson’s Welcome
Established in August 1999, The After Schools Education & Support Programme CLG, provides pre-school and after-school care and support to the children and families of the North Wall area.
We provide services for 150 children aged between 6 months to 15 years old 5 days a week for 50 weeks pa. We also offer employment opportunities for people living in our community which consists of us offering permanent full-time and part-time positions. We are sponsors of a large Community Employment Programme, giving part-time work and training opportunities. We offer information and support to parents and guardians across a wide range of issues and offer access to training programmes on specific issues related to the development of their child.
The After Schools Education & Support Programme (ASESP), is driven by the passionate pursuit of quality early childcare and youth education and encourages others to share their journey. We lead by example, drawing on our experience and knowledge to shape early childcare/youth education thinking,
policy, and practice.
The staff and I here at ASESP aim to deliver, lead, and inspire educational excellence, implemented by a thriving qualified professional team and making a positive social impact on the North Wall and NEIC Community.
Mission
Our mission here at ASESP is to empower every child and adult that engages with our programme. We seek to give them the tools and services that with help them become confident and competent learners. We will also provide them with the knowledge to take a positive progression path through both formal and informal education.
Our vision is to create an inclusive and happy community that is valued and accepted by society; where services and supports are easy to access and where children, young people and adults within the community can engage in education and employment within a safe and supervised environment.
